Elissa Morano, Managing Director

Elissa Morano, Managing Director of Gilbert Tweed International has more than 20 years of experience as an executive search leader. She is a proven generalist with new business development and search management in biotechnology, information technology, new media/entertainment, publishing, pharmaceutical, healthcare services, financial services, human resources and non-profit. Elissa has assisted early stage companies in developing business plans and securing venture capital funding for leading edge new technologies. Her engagement leadership spans operational management, HR solutions, organizational development strategies and executive onboarding covering diverse managing sectors.

Before joining Gilbert Tweed, Elissa was President of Cornell International, a New York based retained search firm, where she managed the operations of three national divisions and extended a global reach with subsidiaries in India and Brazil. Additional search experience nationally and internationally included Managing Director and Director positions with Howe-Lewis International, Haley BDC and Skott/Edwards Consultants, Inc. Prior corporate roles included Director of Staffing Worldwide for EMI Music and Training and Development for Mercedes Benz NA.

Elissa is a trusted business partner working in concert with senior management to attract the top talent to client companies; operating in the best interest of her clients focusing on quality and innovation creating long standing relationships that contribute to building businesses.

She has been on the faculty of NYU School of Continuing Education and Professional Studies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Elizabethtown College and has completed coursework for a Master’s degree. Elissa is on the Advisory Board of Crossriver Networks. She volunteers with MusiCares, AMFAR, Rebuilding Together and The Actors’ Fund. She is active in her local community recreation in athletics for autistic children.
